Woe to you!

Imagem de capa - Woe to you!

The ministry of Jesus was characterized by lessons of justice, and compassionate actions combined with acts of faith. But the religious oppression of the hypocrites upon His people angered Him exceedingly. So much so that He addressed them in a violently condemning manner in Matthew 23.13-36:

…Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone. Blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel!…

A hypocrite is characterized by meticulousness. They are masters at causing petty arguments, faithful in the smallest things, but negligent in the important ones. They make a point of showing outwardly what they are not inwardly. They love to demand from others what they do not do for themselves.

Our attention is drawn to the fact that the Lord judges them in advance during this message. This is, they have already been destined to the Lake of Fire and Sulfur, together with the devil, demons, death, hell, the beast, the false prophet, and all the people whose names are not written in the Book of Life. Yes, this is STRONG!
