Who wants to win souls?

South Africa has a prison population of 156,659 people. Proportionally, there are 307 prisoners for every 100,000 citizens of the country. There are also many Brazilians behind bars here, and their charges are usually for drug trafficking and enticement of minors.

Therefore, the spiritual help we offer benefits everyone, regardless of their nationality. This is why we strive so hard to work with the recovery and rehabilitation of these offenders.

Bishop, one day I commented with you that your book, “Nothing to Lose”, would become a course within the prisons of South Africa to help guide these prisoners.

The course will begin next week at the largest prison in South Africa, in Johannesburg.

We created folders with questions from “Nothing to Lose” and phrases you have said during meetings.

Inside the folder, they will also find blank pieces of paper for them to write what they understood and exercises with questions that lead them to think about the topics being covered.

Each inmate will receive a folder and a book – all funded by contributors.

This work is very important, because every week approximately 2,300 prisoners receive visits from volunteers of The Universal Church, who have worked with social reintegration during many years.

Like them, the women serving time will also benefit from spiritual aid, because they will be receiving books aimed for women, such as the “V Woman”. They will also receive counseling and have their questions answered by pastors’ wives through letters.

In this picture, the man sitting in the middle chair is the teacher who helped us by teaching the pastors and pastors’ wives how to present this study to the inmates.
