Where the manna falls...

Imagem de capa - Where the manna falls...

The prophecy was that God would remove His people from slavery in Egypt and lead them to the Promised Land.

During their journey through the desert, towards the land that flowed with milk and honey, God provided the Israelites with manna (bread from heaven), so they could have the strength to keep on walking towards the Promised Land.

But God’s intention had always been for the people to eat the fruits of the Promised Land, not for them to eat the manna forever. (Exodus 16.35)

When Joshua arrived with the people to take possession of the Promised Land, starting with Jericho, God ordered them to celebrate Passover on the 14th of that month, and for them to eat the fruits of the land the next day – the land that flowed with milk and honey.

And this was when the manna ceased, because it would no longer be needed.

Then the manna ceased on the day after they had eaten the produce of the land; and the children of Israel no longer had manna, but they ate the food of the land of Canaan that year. Joshua 5.12

Manna represents God’s provision during difficult times. Not that we are ungrateful, thank God for it, but this is not what God wants us to eat.

The correct place for manna is in the desert. Once we are inside the Promised Land, we must drink milk and eat honey. However, for this to happen, we have to be strong and courageous to knock down the wall that prevents us from taking possession of the Promised Land.

After the 15th of December, you will drink milk and eat honey, because the prophecy will be fulfilled in the lives of those who believe.
