I was meditating on the book of Genesis when something caught my attention and filled me with fear:

…and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden. Then the LORD God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?” (Genesis 3:8-9)

Today it’s no different. Many people in church hide behind a position, title or the time they’ve been in the church, etc.

And God has been asking these people, “Where are you?”

May He never ask us this question.

Those who hide in the garden, will be expelled from it.

“Therefore the LORD God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken.” (Genesis 3:23)
