When I first came to Church...
When I first came to the Universal Church, many things caught my attention.
One of them was when you said, “not everyone is a child of God”.
At the time, I was shocked.
Today, 26 years later, I realize that many still think that everyone is a child of God.
In my case, before coming to Church, I was a banker.
Literally, I was the first to arrive and the last to leave.
I never made excuses, I was always willing to do my best and serve everyone, big or small.
Even though I was possessed, I wanted to provide quality service.
Perhaps this is why I was promoted twice in 4 years, and was about to be promoted again, for the third time, when I decided to leave my job.
But what was the point of doing all this, if I had a bad character?
I was a THIEF!!
Unfortunately, nowadays we have seen many who say they are children of God, yet their character and behavior is completely contrary to the character of God.
They steal, lie, cheat, have no work ethics, arrive late and still complain about not having a life of quality.
They say that they “are of God”, but their actions show the complete opposite.
When someone is a child of God, it is impossible not to give testimony.
It is normal to present good works and gain peoples’ trust, and still not keep your word. This is how Lucelaine brought me to Jesus.
A true child of God shows good works.
Jesus said to them: I have shown you many of the Father’s good works…
Our obligation as children of God is to shine our light through our good works (at work, school, home or wherever we are) and through it, we can open the eyes of those who think that everyone is a child of God.
“Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5.16
God bless you and Mrs. Esther.
