When God calls

Imagem de capa - When God calls

It wasn’t Abraham who called out to God, it was God who called Abraham.

It wasn’t Moses who called out to God, it was God who called Moses.

It wasn’t Gideon who chose God, it was God who chose Gideon.

David was tending to the sheep when he was called.

The same happened with the disciples, and continues to happen today with those who are chosen by God.

God only calls those who believe, and are going to obey Him.

How do we know if God has called us? There is no explanation, it is something personal, it’s within each person.

The person just believes and is ready to obey. Those who haven’t been chosen by God do not understand this language, because it was not revealed to them.

When Jesus calls, He doesn’t explain why, He just calls. This is how Jesus called the disciples.

When He calls, it is impossible to say “no,” the person is happy to sacrifice because of the conviction he possesses within.

God doesn’t ask us for anything we cannot give, but the person asks himself, “How do I know for sure that God has called me?” When He calls, He leaves no room for doubts.

Those who haven’t been called yet and would like to be called, must want this from within the deepest part of their soul and be willing like Abraham.

Even if the person is lost, overcome by problems, or not knowing what to do, when God calls, it is to transform his life.

When God asks us for something, our inner being charges us to do what was asked of us.

Abraham lived in a land of prostitution, paganism and destruction. And nowadays things are much worse than it was in that time.

Only those who listen to the Voice of God are able to make a complete sacrifice, it is an all for all. If a person only does half, or 99%, it is because he listened to the voice of his feelings and not the Voice of God.

When you listen to the Voice of God, nobody’s opinion matters. There is no room for doubt. It is something, strictly, between the person and God.

This is rational faith, which is involved with reason, because God only speaks to reason.

The beginning of God’s choice is faithfulness.
