Abraham did not call out to God, God called Abraham.

Moses did not call out to God, God called Moses.

Gideon did not choose God, God chose Gideon.

David was tending his flocks when he was called.

The same thing happened with the disciples, and will happen today for those who are chosen by God.

God only calls those who believe… only those who will obey Him.

How can we know that God is calling us? It can’t be explained, it’s very individual, we just know it.

A person simply believes and is eager to obey. Those who have not been chosen by God do not understand this language, because it has not been revealed to them.

When Jesus calls, He does not explain why, He simply calls. That’s what happened when Jesus called the disciples.

When He calls it is impossible to say “no”, and that person will sacrifice with pleasure because of an inner certainty.

God does not ask us for anything that we cannot give, but many times the thought comes: “How can I be sure that God has called me?” When He calls, He leaves no room for the doubt.

Those who have not been called and would like to be, need to want it from the depths of their souls and have the willingness of Abraham.

Even if a person is lost, in deep trouble or does not know what to do, even then, when God calls it is to transform his life.

When God asks something of us, an inner sense insists that we do what He is asking.

Abraham lived in a land of immorality, idolatry and unbelief, but today the situation is much worse than in those times.

Only those who listen to God’s voice can make a total sacrifice—giving all to receive all. When it is halfway done or even 99% done, then that person must have listened to the voice of feelings rather than the voice of God.

When we listen to the voice of God, people’s opinions do not matter. There is no room for doubt. It is you and God, and no one else.

This is rational faith, which involves reason, because God only speaks to people that reason.

The basis of God’s choice is faithfulness.
