What’s your biggest talent?

Dear Bishop Edir Macedo and Mrs. Esther Bezerra,

Along with this letter, I’m sending you a box of sweets, which are the fruit of my labor.

I would like to share with you, something that only became possible after listening to your morning program about two years ago. While listening to you counsel someone else(which, like me, was very unhappy because she had a college degree, but wasn’t at all successful in that area) you said four sentences that changed my life.

We had the same troubles. She was very frustrated and asked:

“Why doesn’t God open a door for me in my area of expertise?”

When you finished reading her letter, the Holy Spirit spoke to me through you and answered with four questions:

“What is your talent? What can you do very well? Can you cook, sew, make tasty cakes? Who said God wants you to be a professional in the field you’ve chosen?”

I will never forget those words because they changed my life. And I immediately said to myself: “my chocolate bonbons”. I remembered how I’d always get compliments for my bonbons.

If I’m not mistaken, that was in November 2009, and we were getting ready for the Campaign of Israel.

I didn’t think twice, I began making bonbons and selling them. I placed two bonbons in a bag and sold them to my coworkers for $0.50 a bag.

I sold an absurd amount of bonbons and I put everything in my envelope. After that, I had to reconcile my day job with the bonbon orders. I kept fighting and learning in the Nation of the 318.

God began doing things in my life that I never thought possible. He put people and situations in my path that I would’ve never dreamed of. Many doors were opened…

I left my day job in March of this year, I had to choose: move forward or go backward. But I’ve seen God’s wonders in my business every day. Through this inspiration, I began working with fine chocolates and candy, with a special focus on catering for weddings.

I achieved more in almost seven months, than in all my previous years. I’m already looking for a bigger space so that I could expand my business and hire more employees, which are five for now (three full-time and two freelancers).
I praise and thank the Lord Jesus for yours and Mrs. Esther’s lives. I praise and thank Him for all of the other bishops and pastors and for the Universal Church, where I met the Lord of my life.

I praise and thank God for that day, that morning, for those words, and even more that He didn’t give me “the job of my dreams,” because if He had, I would have settled and would never have left in search of launching my new career.
