What’s inside?

Imagem de capa - What’s inside?

When you see a giftwrapped box with a beautiful bow, you automatically assume that there is something nice, special or maybe even very valuable inside it.

It is no surprise that companies use eye-catching boxes to impress their clients. There is a real war when it comes to the presentation of a product. There are things that aren’t really worth much, but their shine, their colors, are so irresistible that people end up buying it, even if they are not sure if it’s going to work.

Many are misled by someone’s appearance, they see their flawless skin, their eyes, their seemingly perfect body, and they forget to take a closer look at what they have inside. How many are fooled by crooks just because they seem to be serious people? And others, who get away with fooling people just because they appear to be such a nice person?

When the harm caused by deception is only material, financial or physical, it is not that bad. The problem is when the harm is spiritual.

The Bible says: “And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.” 2 Corinthians 11.14

It is undeniable that Satan is successful when it comes to deceiving. He dragged a third of the angels in heaven, fooled Eve and Adam, perverted Earth during Noah’s times, ect.

Today he uses every way possible to deceive and destroy. His demons can pass as good, intelligent, righteous and even religious people.

Why do you think society is extravagant, exaggerated and full of ostentation?

We have seen people come to Church without anything and then obtain airplanes, mansions, imported cars, etc. However, they end up becoming overwhelmed by their accomplishments.

On the other hand, many others attain financial success and other accomplishments, yet they understand that everything is for the glory of God. These people are not deceived by the wonders of this world.

The apostle Paul said:

“But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” 2 Corinthians 11.3

It is not a sin to have the very best of everything, for Jesus Christ came to bring life with abundance.

The point is to remain humble, like a child that is willing to follow the voice of Jesus Christ. Remain humble hearted during the meetings, in communion with those who are saved, focused on saving souls, doing purposes, fasting, praying, reading the Bible, faithful to your spouse, having spiritual conversations, etc.
