What is the name?
Yesterday, after the 8pm service, a lady approached me and asked:
“What should we call a child who lost his parents?”
I replied:
“Orphan”.
“What should we call a woman whose husband died?”
“Widow”.
“What should we call a woman whose husband left her?”
“Abandoned”.
“What should we call a MOTHER who lost her child?”
……………………. (I couldn’t find a name).
She said:
“There is no name”.
This is very strong, I thought.
There is no name that can be given to the pain of a mother or father who loses a child.
