What can I give?
“What shall I render to the Lord for all His benefits toward me?” Psalm 116.12
Before you answer, I ask yourself: What do I have to give?
A whirlwind of thoughts will come rushing in.
What precious thing could I offer to express my gratitude?
My entire life.
The next verse answers:
“I will take up the cup of salvation, and call upon the Name of the LORD.” Psalms 116.13
Taking up the cup of salvation means admitting that you are hopelessly lost without that cup.
Jesus is the Cup of Salvation and His Spirit offers It to all who are lost.
Who wants it?
After drinking of This Cup, you can call upon His Name and be answered.
“I will pay my vows to the LORD now in the presence of all His people.” Psalms 116.14
Immediately after repentance and wholehearted surrender, come the fulfillment of vows. Not only financial vows, but above all the vow of obedience to His Word.
These three steps of supernatural faith are the most precious things I have to offer the Lord for all His benefits toward me.
In this way, I become a jewel of His Treasured Possession.
Praise be to God!
