We cannot MEASURE what GOD wants to GIVE us
When God speaks of “blessings without measure” He refers to uncountable, immeasurable greatness. When He says something is “great” it’s because it is great indeed; but when He says it is “VERY BIG”, we cannot question or doubt it. So pay attention to what is being described in this episode:
“Then I raised my eyes and looked, and behold, a man with a measuring line in his hand. So I said, ‘Where are you going?’ And he said to me, ‘To measure Jerusalem, to see what is its width and what is its length.’ And there was the angel who talked with me, going out; and another angel was coming out to meet him, who said to him, ‘Run, speak to this young man, saying: “Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls, because of the multitude of men and livestock in it. For I,” says the LORD, “will be a wall of fire all around her, and I will be the glory in her midst.”’” Zechariah 2:1-5
“Then I raised my eyes and looked…” What should we who are of God do every day? We should raise our eyes! Unfortunately, due to life’s predicaments, there are many who have been bowing their heads and consequently directing their gaze to the floor.
What does it mean to raise one’s eyes? It means to never look back to our past life, leaving the old circumstances, failures, and disappointments — and even the mistakes of others — behind. It’s essential that we focus on what God is showing us, His vision for us. Therefore, we do not have the right or option to look elsewhere, except to God and the vision He has given us.
But what is God’s vision for you? He wants you to be free, convert, be born again and receive His Glory, which is the baptism with the Holy Spirit. Every time we raise our eyes, God gives us direction, even though everything may point to the contrary, He guides us, because the Spirit of God renews us daily.
“…and behold, a man with a measuring line in his hand.” Unfortunately, God’s promises have been measurable and countable for many. However, there are some people who have received so many wonderful things from God that they’ve lost count. And this is because there are those who LIMIT THEMSELVES and those who are LIMITLESS, our faith should be like this: LIMITLESS. This is the kind of faith that leads to total transformation — inside out. Our God is LIMITLESS. HE CAN DO ALL THINGS, and He guarantees us that “EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE FOR THOSE WHO BELIEVE!”
“So I said, ‘Where are you going?’ And he said to me, ‘To measure Jerusalem, to see what is its width and what is its length.’” Who can measure or count what God has done in the lives of over 320 million people who have benefited from this serious, biblical, effective and practical work of the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God, in the 182 countries where we are established? Or even what God still wants to do in our lives?
Many have done things the wrong way! Apparently, they are ‘righteous’, that is, they go to church, believe in God, are baptized, forgive, pray, say amen, BUT their attitudes have been wrong before God, as they have not given themselves to God completely. They are fakes. They do not pray wholeheartedly, they do not seek the Holy Spirit with determination, they are not sincere, they have not buried their old life, and even worse: they end up neglecting the most important thing: the Spirit of God — as they do not want to change completely!
A person who believes in the Lord Jesus as their One and Only Savior cannot make the mistake of wanting to measure or limit what God has planned for them. The problem is that many think that achieving an improved life is enough! They become so complacent that they lose their vision and do what they should not do.
“And there was the angel who talked with me, going out; and another angel was coming out to meet him, who said to him, ‘Run, speak to this young man, saying: “Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls, because of the multitude of men and livestock in it.”’” We see that the angel that went to measure the city was not attentive to the WORD of GOD, though he was in Heaven! For sure, he paid no attention to what was said by God Himself, and was rebuked by another angel. So are some people in the church: inattentive, distracted, not paying enough attention and, consequently, not having the understanding of what God has prepared for them.
This is why some people, despite being in church, do not develop their spiritual life and end up at the back of the queue, watching others come and pass them by. God sent “another” angel to show and rebuke the “angel without vision”, because he was disoriented and about to do something that would displease God. When do we displease God? When we treat Him as if He were a small and limited God, and when we question His Greatness and Magnitude.
“For I,’ says the LORD, ‘will be a wall of fire all around her, and I will be the glory in her midst.’” How wonderful!!! He will be our Protection, our Guardian; the One who will surround us, accompany us, and dwell within us. It is very strong, God WITHIN you and me! He will give us His glory, for His Glory is the Holy Spirit who dwells in us. God, in His Infinite Goodness, always gives us an opportunity to correct our mistakes and go on to make the right choices, the choice that pleases Him and that will change our lives for all eternity!
What does God wants the most for every human being? God’s greatest desire is for every human being to have His Spirit. Why? Because those who have His Spirit have His image and His likeness.
DO NOT FORGET:
1. Raise your eyes — look at what God has prepared for you;
2. Keep the vision — God will fulfill the dream He has given you when you make the right decisions;
3. Do not use the Word of God in an improper manner to justify yourself — Do not be conformed. Do not use the Word of God in a negative way;
4. Do not wait on anyone — Do not wait on others or look up to others! You cannot expect people to do what you have to do;
5. There are no limits — everything is possible;
6. Our Protection — is the fire of the presence of God around us;
7. His Glory, the Holy Spirit, wants to be within us — God says, “I am with you until the end of times.”
