Vanity

A woman had a near-death experience and was rushed into the hospital’s ICU in a coma-like state. Meanwhile, she meets up with death:

– What happened? Did I die? she asked.

– No, by my calculations you’ll die in 43 years, 8 months, 9 days and 16 hours.

Once she awoke from the coma, she began thinking about how much time she had left to live and decided to stay right there in the hospital and get some liposuction, a breast lift, a facelift, a nose job, a tummy tuck; she decided to correct every little imperfection, wrinkle and everything else that she could possibly change to look more beautiful and feel younger.

A few days after she was discharged, a car came speeding down the street as she was crossing and hit her, killing her instantly.

She met up with death again and asked angrily:

– Hey, you said that I still had another 43 years left of life. Why did I die after I spent all that money on plastic surgery???

Death came over and stood real close to her, looked her straight in the eyes and said:

– I DIDN’T RECOGNIZE YOU!
