Unjust Judge?
To whom will you liken Me, and make Me equal, and compare Me, that we should be alike? Isaiah 46.5
It is hard to understand that the God of Abraham cannot be compared to anything that exists or will ever exist in this world.
As long as people fail to understand this, they will not receive a “wake up call” and will lack a driving thirst to know Him.
When we talk about sacrifice, surrender, renunciation and things of this nature, these people search for something of great value to “swap” with the Lord God.
But, what was most precious to the Lord, Abraham’s obedience or Isaac?
Obviously, his obedience!
Jesus also asked this question: “…which is greater, the gold or the temple that sanctifies the gold?” Matthew 23.17
Clearly, the Sanctuary is what makes the offering holy!
The glory of the Most High is immeasurable and unimaginable.
Not even the patriarchs, prophets and priests, with all their inspiration, devotion and intimacy to and for Him, found words to describe Him.
The Bible itself lacks adjectives to describe the Majesty, Greatness and Glory of the Lord God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel. Only His deeds can give us an idea of who He really is.
Isaiah said: “To whom then will you liken God? Or what likeness will you compare to Him?” Isaiah 40.18
Using the lips of the same prophet, the Lord says:
“To whom will you liken Me, and make Me equal and compare Me, that we should be alike?” Isaiah 46.5
“To whom then will you liken Me, or to whom shall I be equal? says the Holy One.“ Isaiah 40.25
What words or objects can ever describe His greatness?
God’s greatness is so vast that no one in heaven or on earth has the ability to reveal Him.
Only HE, through the Holy Spirit, can do this.
We do not need luck to receive this prize.
You must want it.
You must show through the facts of your faith, that you really want it.
You must be thirsty, hungry, have the willpower, be determined, have the willingness to sacrifice your life, and sacrifice everything, including the first love for your family, property, and personal dreams — in short, ABSOLUTELY everything in your search for Him.
IT IS YOUR ALL FOR HIS ALL.
As you do this, it is IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE JUST LORD TO FAIL TO REWARD YOU.
It is worth sharing Charles’ dream, a difference in life that he is not far from achieving:
Good evening Ana! I cried as I read your testimony… I’m happy for you and… sad for me. I dream of this certainty, of knowing the Lord Jesus (having a true encounter), but then I wake up and the only certainty I have is that it will never happen. You know, Ana, I have no more strength to go on, whenever I insist I realize that the more I try to reach Him, the more I drive Him away from me. I have fought many people, against various situations, but the worst fight is against myself. Thanks for the space!
Dayane also tells of the anguish of his soul at not yet knowing Him:
Hello, Bishop. I’m 20 years old and have been in the UCKG for 15 years. When I hear about the JOY of the NEW BIRTH and how WONDERFUL it is to have the Holy Spirit, my soul is saddened because I have been in the UCKG for such a long time and yet do not know this GREAT GOD that so many speak of.
I left the UCKG and then came back, I suffered in the world, but I do not know GOD. What good is it to have so much experience of life and not know the Lord God?
When I help people, I feel very useful in the work. But to speak about Him and yet not know Him, is very difficult.
I WANT, I NEED TO KNOW THE LORD JESUS … HELP ME BISHOP, PLEASE. I cannot live another 20 years and still not know Him.
