Two oaths
God made two oaths: one to bless and another to curse. He swore to bless those whose faith is constant, and He swore to curse those whose faith is inconstant.
Here lies the difference between Christians and “Christians”: those who truly believe continue believing whatever the cost and regardless of the battles and challenges faced in the deserts of life. There’s a strong conviction that makes them persevere until the end. In the book of Revelation, the Lord emphasises perseverance as sine qua non of victory.
But as for the “Christians” of an inconstant faith, all they can do is to reap the fruit of God’s wrath, like the rebellious children of Israel in the desert:
“So I swore in My wrath, they shall not enter My rest.” (Hebrews 3:11)
