Emotional people have an emotional faith. They are mere living souls, like the first man.

The first man Adam was made a living soul. 1 Corinthians 15:45

Because of this they thirst for the sensation of the presence of God.
Normally, when emotional people seek the Spirit of God, they give in to emotions and are carried away by them during the praise and worship time. They don’t think, they just feel. If they break down in tears, they assume it’s the Holy Spirit simply because the emotions are so strong. They speak in tongues and convince themselves that they have been baptized…
Emotional people are spell-bound by and surrender to the emotions of the environment they are in. So many are deceived by their own hearts and by the spirit of deception.
But of course, these people don’t know they’ve been deceived and are convinced of their so-called baptism. They only discover that they have been tricked over time, when they realize that their quality of life has not improved. They continue to be the same person, with the same old life. The empty feelings persist and become even more constant…
On the other hand, God offers an intelligent faith, one that thinks, that demands the results that the Bible promises. This rational faith thinks about, evaluates, investigates, seeks and demands what is written in the Word, and follows that up with obedience to the Holy Scriptures. It abandons all uncleanliness and sin.
At this point, driven by a hunger and thirst to know Him, these people cry out for the Holy Spirit which the Lord Jesus promised, in a sincere manner and with all their strength before the altar. And when they receive the Spirit of God they are made into life-giving spirits, just like the Lord Jesus Christ.

The last Adam (Jesus) was made a life-giving spirit. 1 Corinthians 15:45
