True or false?
The world is full of sayings and proverbs. Some are so religious that they directly contradict the Word of God, but are believed to be true.
Lets take a look at a few examples:
1 – “We are all God’s children”: true or false?
FALSE: take a look at what the Word of God says:
“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1.12-13
2 – “All roads lead to God”: true or false?
FALSE: take a look at what the Word of God says:
“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14.6
3 – “Wherever there is His name, He will be present”: true or false?
FALSE: take a look at what the Word of God says:
“For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” Matthew 18.20
4 – “A little with God becomes a lot, but a lot without God is nothing”: true or false?
FALSE: take a look at what the Word of God says:
“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly.” John 10.10
5 – “God may delay, but He does not fail”: true or false?
FALSE: take a look at what the Word of God says:
“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness…” 2 Peter 3.9
Given the above findings, we can see that, unfortunately, many people live under a blanket of lies that are always being reinforced by many emotions.
The same does not happen with us because we do not lead religious lives or allow our emotions to rule over us, instead we use an intelligent faith.
