Thoughts

A thought is like a ship’s helm. A small turn is enough to divert it from its course.

When we subject our reasoning to someone’s thinking, we steer the helm of our life’s ‘boat’ in the same direction of that someone’s life. If they walk blindly in this world, we will be following them towards the same destination.

When we subject our reasoning to the thoughts of the Creator – biblical faith – we establish a safe route towards a happy destination. If we do not deviate to the right nor the left, His word guarantees our arrival at the Promised Land.
Whoever wishes, can put this to test.

It is not about following a religion, philosophy or the like, but about using intelligence. The Bible embraces part of the Creator’s wisdom and whoever uses this wisdom, even if only a fraction of it, extracts from it the fullness of life.

When I think and practise the thoughts of the Eternal, I despise ideas, advice and the empty and futile thoughts of this world; it eliminates doubts and the fear of failure. There is assurance and certainty wherever I go (ship), with or without tribulations (storms) because I do not depend on what I feel or don’t’ feel but depend on what is written. The promises of The Almighty guarantees my arrival to the safe harbour.

Intelligent faith always pushes us forward.

‘Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.’ (Philippians 4:8)

In other words:

Finally, friends, everything that is false, everything that is disrespectful, everything that is unjust, everything that is impure, everything that is hateful, everything that is of bad reputation, if any dishonour or debasement exists in it, expel it from your thinking.
