Those who thirst…

Imagem de capa - Those who thirst…

Day 7 of the Fast of Daniel

Let him hear what the Spirit says to you:

It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. Revelation 21.6

There is a Fountain of the Water of Life next to you, even if your desert is the worst in the world. However, you must dig, dig, dig until you find this Water!

The wellspring may be deep, but what’s most important is that He exists and has the Water of Life.

If you are waiting for someone to come dig for you, forget about it. Everyone is busy digging for themselves. Don’t wait for anyone, or else you will dry up in this desert.

Do you believe there is Water of Life under your feet?

So don’t waste anymore time, start digging! Use all your strength, all your physical and spiritual resources, but dig…

Take a look at the testimonies of some and the struggles of others. All of them face similar situations. But what guarantees victory is perseverance, which is the most evident proof of sacrificial faith.

Aline Saraiva

The great day has arrived!! On my knees, in the bathroom at my job, with the lights turned off and completely surrendered. While listening to your words Bishop, when you were seeking the Holy Spirit, it was finally my turn! I was touched, I was filled. As my husband describes it, I went down the highest roller coaster, and was overcome by an indescribable feeling. My Father looked at me and blessed me with the Holy Spirit. I cried like a child, and my mouth repeated words of gratitude. I would also like to thank the Universal Church, you, the Pastors, assistants and my husband, Anderson, who helped me get closer to God, which led to such a special and unforgettable day. “Oh, what a day!”

Good afternoon Bishop,

Oh, what a day!!! Today, the Holy Spirit was renewed in my life. During the prayer, I felt such joy, happiness, just like the day I was baptized with the Holy Spirit. It was unforgettable. It happened on a Wednesday night; it was and has been wonderful. When the prayer finished, I was crying and smiling at the same time. Oh, what a day! I am privileged to have this Treasure inside me. Nothing or no one can take this joy away from me. This Fast of Daniel has been a blessing in my life. I praise and thank God for giving you this direction, which comes directly from God.

Tayllyn Santos

Good evening Bishop! ‘Help me’ are the words I say while seeking the Holy Spirit, because I don’t know what else to do. It’s been 8 years since I converted in Church. I was in a horrible situation, but I fought and continue fighting to remain firm. When I came to Church, I participated in a Fast with all my strength and was baptized with the Holy Spirit. All of my doubts, fears and sorrows, no longer existed. I was different; there was a complete change. At a youth group event, I was raised as an assistant candidate, but when the pastor asked if I spoke in tongues, I said no. So he said I should speak in tongues because this gift is the seal and confirmation of the Holy Spirit in us. Since then, I’ve been fighting bishop, but I haven’t spoken in tongues yet. I don’t know if it’s because I’m anxious or have doubts, but the devil always sends his evil thoughts. I tie them all up because I know that I was baptized. Please give me your advice bishop, because I’ve had this doubt for 8 months and I can’t take it anymore. I want and desire to have the seal of the Holy Spirit in my life. I’m doing this Fast with this purpose, because I don’t accept it to end without me speaking in tongues. Help me.

ANSWER

Tayllyn, no pastor, assistant, bishop or human being has the authority to say if you were or not sealed with the Holy Spirit. Only the Spirit Himself can confirm with your spirit whether it happened or not. Speaking in tongues is NOT a sign of the baptism with the Holy Spirit. Because, demons also speak in tongues to confuse those they have fooled.

Some of the signs of the baptism with the Holy Spirit are: conviction, inner peace, joy…

Be careful! Do not listen to men, but to the Spirit of God confirming Himself in you.

It sounds like you were baptized. But the devil is using people, who do not understand this subject very well, to bring back the doubts that were eliminated when you were baptized. DON’T LISTEN TO THEM. DON’T WORRY ABOUT SPEAKING IN TONGUES EVER AGAIN. LEAVE THAT UP TO THE HOLY SPIRIT. OK?

MAY GOD BLESS YOU EVEN MORE!

Ana Maria da Silva

Good evening Bishop Macedo. To say that I serve God would be like lying to myself. I’ve been to many denominations, and I’ve been living an astral hell in my life, but I’ve been coming to the Universal Church for 4 months. I come on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. I was at rock bottom when I first got here, doubting the things of the Spirit. I have a terrible doubt. I’ve had two baptisms – one in the Universal Church and the other at the Christian congregation of Brazil. My question is Bishop Macedo: Since I’ve been baptized twice, I don’t have the right to receive the Spirit of God? I’m asking because I heard a person, who considers himself religious, say that there is only one baptism. And when we decide to be baptized again, we are denying God. And because of that, we are in sin. Since I’m participating in the Fast of Daniel, tirelessly seeking the Holy Spirit, because I need to have an encounter with God, I would like to know if this is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit of God? As you said in the message today, I am divorcing the world to experience this unique moment in my life, which is to receive the Holy Spirit and have God as my Husband. I feel like God is already transforming me, because I am more calm and attentive to the things of God. I feel lighter, more serious about the things of God. Please Bishop Macedo, help me with this doubt! May God continue to enlighten and bless you always.

Ana,

Truly, there is only one baptism, as it is written in Ephesians 4.5. What was said to you is that this one baptism has to make a difference between the old and the new creation. If anyone is in Christ, he is a NEW CREATION… 2 Corinthians 5.17.

The fact that you were “baptized” twice means that you did not believe in the first baptism, and therefore it was not valid. I do not know whether you believed or not in the second one… But one thing is certain: baptism symbolizes the burial of your sinful ways, your old nature. There cannot be two or more burials. There is only one baptism, or burial. However, when the baptism does not produce the necessary effect, the candidate returns to the baptismal water again.

For example, I returned to the baptismal water four times. I did this because I hadn’t seen the results in my personal life. Until, it finally happened.

What makes me uneasy about your doubts is that you don’t seem to have buried your old nature. In other words, your “baptisms” have not fulfilled the process of transformation, and this is why you still have doubts.

Please, try to meditate more on the Bible and eat His words with your own hands. Don’t listen to men just because they have a title of pastor. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you, since He came with this mission, to guide His people to the Promised Land.

God bless you
