They were not spared. Will you?

What did they do to lose their angelical nature?

The evil spirits who today kill, steal and destroy people were one day, maybe thousands, millions or billions of years ago, pure angels – holy and faithful to the Creator.

They were brought into existence to serve as messengers of God Almighty. They lived in His presence, experienced His light and they themselves were light in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Today, doomed to their condition as demons for all eternity, they fight ferociously to divert those who want to inherit what they lost.

What did they do to lose their angelical nature?
They sinned. They rebelled against the discipline of the Kingdom of God. Therefore, the Divine Justice did not spare them. He threw them in hell and delivered them into chasms of darkness, leaving them there until the Last Judgment.

In conclusion: if God did not spare the rebellious angels of that time, will He spare the people who rebel against His word today?

The same was true of humanity in Noah’s day. The Lord saw that they had corrupted their ways and decided to end all life on earth with a flood. Amongst the thousands of people, only Noah and his family were saved.

That corrupt humanity was not spared. Will He spare the corrupt humanity of today?

‘And the LORD said, “Because the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grave…’ Genesis 18.20

Having seen that its inhabitants continued in their debauchery, alongside their other perversities, and filthy carnal passions to the point of regarding sex as an object to worship, the Lord brought fire and sulphur upon them. He turned them to ash to serve as an example to as many as wish to live in a similar fashion.

Were there no innocent children? Newborn? Animals? Nobody escaped Divine Judgement other than Lot and his two daughters. Will He spare those who live in a similar, or even worse, situation today?

‘For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly; and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly…’ 2 Peter 2.4-6

If God Almighty did not spare the sinners of the past, how can we escape, if we do not repent when He proposes such a great salvation?
