They are also thirsty...

Good afternoon, Bishop.

This church was opened three weeks ago in Angola.

The average Sunday attendance is 35 Chinese people. The pastor speaks Portuguese, and when necessary the assistant pastor speaks English. On Sundays we have a Chinese member who’s been attending the church for six months. He speaks Portuguese and translates the service into Chinese.

Because of the people’s jobs, the main meeting is held on Sundays at 4pm. During the week the pastor visits construction sites to reach out to them, and whenever a door opens, he preaches to them.

The great difficulty here is that the Chinese are hard workers and have little spare time. They start work at 7am, stop for a 40-minute or 1 hour lunch, and stop work at 8 or 10pm. Most of them live at construction sites.

May God bless you and your family,

Bishop João Leite
