The violent nature of assertive Faith
Thinking faith is assertive, violent, foolish and supernatural.
It is violently opposed to believing in and conform to the will of the God of Abraham, while at the same time living like Lazarus the beggar in Jesus’ parable.
It is violently opposed to believing in the God of Moses while living like an Egyptian slave.
It is violently opposed to believing in the God of Joshua while not taking hold of His promises.
It is violently opposed to believing in the God of Gideon while being a wimpy Christian, humiliated by my enemy.
It is violently opposed to believing that the God of David is the same today and then allowing new Goliaths to prevail over us.
It is violently opposed to principalities and powers having dominion over us, because His Son has already disarmed every one.
It is violent because taking hold of the Kingdom of Heaven shakes my entire being to the core.
It is violent because not only is He the God of Peace, but He promises to crush Satan under our feet. Romans 16:20
It violent because it is in a permanent state of warfare and revolt against the forces of darkness.
The violent nature of reasoning faith is in opposition to the world, and the world opposes anyone who has it. This is why anyone who has it is a friend of God and an enemy of the devil.
If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God. James 4:4 (NLT)
