The unforgivable sin

The Lord Jesus said that blaspheming against the Holy Spirit is unforgivable, that such a thing is an eternal sin (Matthew 12:32, Mark 3:29). But what does this mean in practice?
It means that there is no chance of forgiveness for any kind of insult against the person of the Holy Spirit. Why? Because He is the only one able to convince us of our need for the salvation of our souls. Without His work, there is no way that we could understand this need.
It’s important that we clarify this because many times our minds are invaded by evil, depraved thoughts about God. And, because of this, many are discouraged in their Christian faith, because they consider themselves to be hopelessly lost.
There is no need to worry that you are beyond hope of salvation, just be cautious not to speak evil against the Spirit of God.?
