The Rahab Project

Imagem de capa - The Rahab Project

Women face many hardships, but when they include abuse, the wounds are hard to heal. Memories are not easily forgotten, and like a jigsaw puzzle, the more complete the puzzle, the sadder the image.

This is why The Rahab Project was created in 2011. Its goal is to help women who have experienced domestic violence and are now attempting to hide what happened to them.

The project is named Rahab because of the striking story of this woman in the Bible, who became a prostitute to survive. But when she heard of the God of Israel, she believed and decided to begin a new life. She left her past behind and began to have a new faith. She did not do this for herself alone, but influenced her entire family to do the same. And so, as a reward for her vow of faith, God blessed her with a husband and family that, much later, would bring forth Jesus, the Son of God.

The Rahab Project is partnered with Godllywood in Brazil and holds monthly meetings, visits care homes and offers one-on-one counseling sessions. If you want to know more about the project or know someone who would benefit from being part of it, contact us through the website: www.projetoraabe.com

In faith,
