The Universal Church has been making a difference in the second most populated country in the world. In India, where the belief of more than 1.2 billion people is divided into at least five religions (Hinduism – more than 80%; Islam – about 11%; Christianity – about 4%, Sikhism, Buddhism and Jainism), the Church has led people to understand that it is not the amount of gods (to give you an idea, the official number of deities in the country comes to the huge number of 330 million) that will lead them to a life of plenitude, but the One True God, the Lord Jesus Christ.

On the 3rd of March, the “Power of the Cross” event was held, with the intent of leading people to understand that the Lord Jesus is not just another “god”, as many Hindus think, but the One God. Of the 1,400 people present, 90% were Hindu and Catholic Christians.

The two churches in Chennai, the largest city of Tamil Nadu state, located in the south of India, came together for the event in order to help people understand that the Lord Jesus also died for them, and for this reason, they should not accept to live in sickness or poverty.

During the meeting, we explained that without faith it is impossible to please God and that this has been the reason why people have been so confused, looking for answers in several places. But, when they learn to use their faith in the Living God, the True God, He manifests and turns the situation around.

After the message, we invited everyone to challenge this faith, and many of them, who felt pain for years, were healed.

In the end, we spoke about the meaning of the death of the Lord Jesus, who gave us direct access to God, and explained that our “Guru” is the Lord Jesus Christ, the only One who can truly lead us to the Father.

We invited everyone to start depositing their faith in this God and come to know Him. They left not only knowing about the existence of another god, but the real God, that can actually transform their lives and give them Salvation.

The Universal Church has been in the country for 18 years and develops the evangelistic work through 7 pastors and 31 assistants in 3 churches. Despite the difficulty due to the country being highly religious, this is the faith that moves us and drives us to win souls for the Kingdom of Heaven.
