The pain of being separated from God – Part 2
Separation from God means the presence of sin, and consequently, the devil.
No one on earth could live with God and sin at the same time, because it would be like wanting to live in the light and darkness at the same time; drinking fresh water and salt water at the same time.
Not even the Son of God, Jesus, who can do all things, was able to do this. Actually, this was the worst pain ever felt in the entire history of mankind: He, the Son of God, was ordered by His own Father, to come into this world and be taken to Calvary as a sacrifice, because of His love for us.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life,” John 3.16
We can not imagine the pain that the Lord had, giving His only begotten Son to this rotten world and go through everything He went through – being that He could have sent angel Gabriel or Michael, or another angel He confided in. But He tore out from within Himself the best He had and placed It on the altar at Calvary.
Now the question that remains: Have you, assistant, torn your spiritual and material best from within and placed it on the altar? God gave His only Son as a sacrificial offering and received an infinite number of children. And you, what have you done for love, faith and obedience for this God?
And what does this say about the Lord Jesus?
His greatest pain was not the nails that were hammered into His hands or feet, nor was it to bear the diseases of mankind, but to spend a few hours separated from His Father, for taking our sins upon Himself. His despair, terror and agony was so great, to be alone on that cross, that He sweat drops of blood.
“Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.” Luke 22.43-44
Assistants, if God made this sacrifice, giving His only begotten Son on the cross, winning us as children, to be together forever, we must also make sacrificial offerings to have His presence (Holy Spirit) constantly – not only in this world, but for all eternity.
Those who live without sacrifice have no light and nothing to offer others. This ends up reflecting in their personal life. This is why we see many assistants life’s tied up, without reflecting the glory of God.
The 14th is the big day for you to reverse this situation in your life. It is the day of sacrifice, of renewal, of “the blessing forevermore”.
“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron, running down on the edge of his garments. (…) For there the Lord commanded the blessing – Life forevermore.” Psalm 133.1-3
God bless you.
