The outcry of faith
Supernatural faith cries out for sacrifice.
Sacrifice is to obey the Word of God;
Sacrifice is to say no to the flesh and yes to the Holy Spirit;
Sacrifice is to say no to the voice of the heart and yes to the voice of reason;
Sacrifice is to pray for those who persecute us;
Sacrifice is to love those who hate us;
Sacrifice is living in righteousness, in an unrighteous society;
Sacrifice is to pay so much in taxes and not enjoy its benefits;
Sacrifice is to put up with injustice and trust in the justice of God;
Sacrifice is to see the unrighteous overpowering the righteous;
Sacrifice is to look with favor upon the wicked;
Sacrifice is to forgive to be forgiven;
Sacrifice is to die for the world and live for the Lord Jesus;
Sacrifice is to offer the other cheek when what you really want to do is…
Sacrifice is to be forced to walk a mile and have to walk double;
Sacrifice is to serve everyone to be the first;
Sacrifice is to lose one’s life by faith in Jesus and His Gospel to save it;
Sacrifice is to obey like Abraham and lay down your own life on the Altar;
In short, the outcry of faith demands that whoever wants to follow Jesus must sacrifice himself, take up his cross and follow Him. Luke 9:23
