the Mind of Christ
How can we deny the character-changing effects of having the Mind of Christ?
It’s not a matter of being religious or belonging to a particular denomination. It’s about having a new mind and a new life; it’s about being a new creation, a new man.
The natural man gives way to a spiritual man. The selfish man gives way to a generous man. The malicious man gives way to a kind man.
It’s a huge transformation in all aspects.
However, the most obvious transformation is in respect to our relationship not only with our family and friends but also with our enemies.
See the Mind of Jesus in His teachings:
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.” (Matthew 5:43,44)
Now see the Mind of Christ in His attitude:
“Then Jesus said, ‘Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.’” (Luke 23:34)
Who would be willing to love their enemies and forgive their murderers but a person who had the Mind of Christ or the Spirit of Christ?
Referring to himself and to the Christians at Corinth, Paul said:
“But we have the mind of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 2:16)
How about you, dear reader, have you got the Mind of Christ?
