The Kingdom of the Holy Spirit

Righteousness characterizes the Kingdom of God.

Unrighteousness characterizes the kingdom of hell, and this is why the Creator and His creation were separated.

God the Father chose Abraham to create a kingdom of righteousness. It would be different from other kingdoms on Earth.

And so the kingdom of Israel was established. But it broke its covenant with the Creator.

God brought His Son into the world through Israel, and through Him the Kingdom of God came into existence on Earth – a kingdom established in the hearts of His followers.

Through obedience to the rules, laws, commandments and Words of Jesus, followers become citizens of the Kingdom of God, and through disobedience they are excluded from the Kingdom by their own stubbornness.

The Kingdom of God on Earth is the Church, which consists of members obedient to the Head, the Lord Jesus.

When God the Son ascended into Heaven He was seated at the right hand of God the Father, whereupon God the Holy Spirit was sent to “replace” Him as leader of His Kingdom (Church).

Because of this, members of this Kingdom (Church) follow the direction of the Head through the Holy Spirit.

It is impossible for a member of the Body of the Lord Jesus to live outside the discipline, order and righteousness of God’s Kingdom.

When there is disobedience to the Word that comes from the Head, that person does not belong to His Body.

A member of the Kingdom of God is disciplined, has the character of his Lord, loves righteousness and fights for it.

“For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.”  Matthew 5.20
