The journey of the soul
Recently, a famous TV host boarded the wrong flight and only realized it after landing in another state. Imagine the embarrassment and shame he experienced.
Well, our life here on earth is fleeting. Our soul is “traveling” to a final destination.
If you had to travel to a far away place today, what kind of transportation would you choose to get there? It would probably be by plane, right?
And, when it comes to the journey of the soul, there are only two “airports” where it can “land”: eternity with the Lord Jesus or eternity in the lake of fire and brimstone.
To arrive at the “airport” of Salvation, we must use a FAITH that SAVES, which leads us to sacrifice our will and the pleasures of this world to remain firm on the right path.
This is the faith that makes people eunuchs to all that evil this world has to offer, just like those eunuchs castrated themselves for the Kingdom of Heaven (Matthew 19.12).
This is the most important faith. It is essential to our Salvation – even if the journey is full of turbulence (something impossible to avoid on the “journey” to the Kingdom of Heaven).
Now, what if you could choose what class you travel in? Would you choose economy, business or first class?
Of course, if you had the financial condition, you would not hesitate to opt for first class.
The same applies to the kind of life you are going to have here on earth: it can be a blessed life in every area, with all the comfort that the promises of God guarantee, or not.
This will depend on the CONQUERING FAITH. It is available to everyone, but it also requires sacrifices.
Many are on a journey to the wrong destination (hell) – some are in economy class (living hell on earth), others are in first class (receiving the blessings this world has to offer).
While others may even be traveling to the correct destination (Kingdom of Heaven), but they’re in the economy class (without taking possession of the promises of God).
What you need to do is travel to the correct destination (Kingdom of Heaven) in first class (with a life that glorifies your God). For this to happen, both SAVING FAITH and CONQUERING FAITH are necessary.
Believe it or not, the journey has already begun, and the Israel Challenge on Mount Carmel is exactly for this.
If you are on the wrong plane, as soon as it makes a stop (and this refers to the opportunities that God gives us), get off and get on the right flight – bound for the Kingdom of God. For this reason, you will need the Holy Spirit above all else in this world.
And if you’re already on the right flight (sealed with the Holy Spirit), move up to first class. You can be sure there is space available, and there is no stewardess in this world that can stop you from moving up there!
Just remember, regardless of whatever happens, the most important thing is to reach the final destination!
