“Blessed is he who considers the poor; The Lord will deliver him in time of trouble. The Lord will preserve him and keep him alive, and he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies.” Psalm 41:1-2

Good morning, Bishop!

While meditating on this word, I see why the Holy Spirit has been alerting us more than ever during these past few days. I could understand your testimony even more, and the reason why God has delivered, and has been delivering, His Work from the snares of the fowler.

It is simple: You have always had a vision of serving the poor!

People sometimes think that being poor is just not having money, but we know that it’s not. Actually, being poor is not having peace, not having love, not having health, not having a united family and, above all, not having salvation. This indeed, is the greatest poverty!

And this is why the people of this world are not delivered from evil nor have blessings on earth: This promise is only meant for those who tend to the POOR. The poor are a class that no one cares for. They are a rejected race and that is why God wants us – those who serve Him – to be ready to help them.

The condition is clear: Whoever serves the poor will be delivered and blessed on earth. To serve the poor is not just to give a piece of bread or give them alms. To serve the poor is to lead them into having a faith that transforms, saves and establishes a dignified life before GOD. This is true wealth!

However, people in this world just want to be close to the rich because the rich have material things to give them. The poor have nothing to give and so, nobody wants them – not even their families. For this reason, God is unable to rid this world of evil. People only want to receive and they never give.

Unfortunately, many men of God have lost their vision and no longer give their lives for the poor. Imagine if assistants, evangelists, pastors and everyone who does the Work of GOD understood the verse above! If they understood that it is by serving the poor that they will be delivered from evil and live a happy life, they would all work harder than ever to save souls. It would be a multiplication of the saved like never before.

When the Lord Jesus was in this world, He always tried to give this lesson. He was always with the poor – those who no one wanted – and that’s why God manifested Himself in a glorious way. The truth is that God does not work through the rich, the greedy and the proud, but through the poor, in order to make them rich in faith. It is as the verse says:

“Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?” James 2:5

If all those who truly want to serve God tended to the poor of this world, God would deliver them in the day of evil and make them prosper on earth according to what is written. Above all, they would have the greatest wealth that a human being can have, which is SALVATION!

We cannot forget that God, at any moment, promised to save the FLESH, but the SOUL.

May God bless you and Mrs. Ester more each day!
