The great vision

Imagem de capa - The great vision

“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls.

You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin. And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: “My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; for whom the Lord loves He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives.” Hebrews 12.1-6

I was meditating on this passage and became marveled with the way that the Holy Spirit spoke to me.

1 – In the face of such a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us, we cannot ignore the action of the Spirit of God among us;

2 – It is our duty to lay aside all of the weight (worldly vanities) and the sin that easily ensnares us, preventing the great vision of what God wants to do in our lives;

4 – Lets run with endurance to the vocation that is set before us: the calling of the children of the Almighty;

5 – Lets fix our eyes on the Author and Finisher of our faith, Jesus, so that we never become weary (Spiritual Vision);

6 – Those who have not yet resisted sin to bloodshed (sacrifice) of their own will, certainly still have not given importance to their Salvation;

7 – This is why Divine discipline is necessary. God disciplines us for our own good, so that we may be partakers of His holiness. Hebrews 12.10

God bless you.
