The glory of being God’s servants is in this: He, and He alone, is our inheritance.

There is nothing to worry about, no need to think about the future, for He has given us everything we need: He has given Himself to us. What more do you want than that?

‘Then the Lord said to Aaron: “You shall have no inheritance in their land, nor shall you have any portion among them; I am your portion and your inheritance among the children of Israel.’ Numbers 18.20

‘At that time the Lord separated the tribe of Levi to bear the ark of the covenant of the Lord, to stand before the Lord to minister to Him and to bless in His name, to this day. Therefore Levi has no portion nor inheritance with his brethren; the Lord is his inheritance, just as the Lord your God promised him.’ Deuteronomy 10.8-9

‘The priests, the Levites—all the tribe of Levi—shall have no part nor inheritance with Israel; they shall eat the offerings of the Lord made by fire, and His portion. Therefore they shall have no inheritance among their brethren; the Lord is their inheritance, as He said to them… For the Lord your God has chosen him out of all your tribes to stand to minister in the name of the Lord, him and his sons forever.’ Deuteronomy 18.1-2,5

‘But to the tribe of Levi Moses had given no inheritance; the Lord God of Israel was their inheritance, as He had said to them.’ Joshua 13.33

‘But the Levites have no part among you, for the priesthood of the Lord is their inheritance…’ Joshua 18.7

‘No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.’ Isaiah 54.17

‘It shall be, in regard to their inheritance, that I am their inheritance. You shall give them no possession in Israel, for I am their possession.’ Ezequiel 44.28

‘But you, go your way till the end; for you shall rest, and will arise to your inheritance at the end of the days.’ Daniel 12.13

‘In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.’ Ephesians 1.13-14

‘For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.’ Ephesians 5.5

‘And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. But he who does wrong will be repaid for what he has done, and there is no partiality.’ Colossians 3.23-25

‘Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.’ 1 Peter 1.3-5
