The Fear In Giving Tithes

It has been very difficult for people who do not possess spiritual discernment to understand the meaning of tithes and offerings.

Why does God consider it stealing when you do not pay your tithes?

Because tithes are His exclusive property.

After eating a fruit from the tree of life, Adam and Eve were immediately expelled from the presence of God.

They had complete access to all of the fruit trees in Paradise.

However, they chose to disobey the Word of God.

Why was it forbidden to touch the fruit from the tree of life?

Because it was the first fruit of God – His tithe.

“Then David and all Israel played music before God with all their might, with singing, on harps, on stringed instruments, on tambourines, on cymbals, and with trumpets,” I Chronicles 13.8

There was a great celebration because they were bringing back the Ark of the Covenant.

Oxen pulled the wagon that was carrying the Ark.

Then, all of a sudden, they stumbled.

Trying to prevent the Ark from falling, Uzza reached out to hold it.

“Then the anger of the Lord was aroused against Uzza, and He struck him because he put his hand to the ark; and he died there before God,” I Chronicles 13.10

No one, but the priests, was allowed to touch the Ark.

Touching what is sacred shows a lack of fear and respect for the Lord.

It is as though you are considering yourself to be at the same level as the Almighty.

Touching your tithe will provoke the wrath of the Lord.

It’s like touching the Ark of the Covenant.

This is why the Lord considers those who touch His firstfruits robbers.

Who would dare touch a work of witchcraft they found in the middle of the street?

No one.

Why is that?

Because they fear being punished by the evil spirits.

Now, if people fear things that are consecrated to evil spirits, then they should fear even more the things that are consecrated to the Almighty!

In this evil world, the children of darkness have more respect for the devil than for God.

This is why curses run freely in this world.
