The Bible tells us about the devil and what his place should be:

“Those who see you will gaze at you, and consider you, saying: ‘Is this the man who made the earth tremble, who shook kingdoms…” Isaiah 14.16

In other words: it was this insignificant and weak person (the devil) that struck fear in people?

The devil’s strength is in deceiving, so that people can remain under his control.

This is why the Word of God illuminates our path, so that we can know what our position is before the devil and not be deceived by him.
