Positive blood tests, rapidly spreading pandemics, a doctor’s warning that you have only months to live and everything else that terrorizes the heart, are arrows from hell that target our faith.

If faith is based on the Word of God, none of these things have any power, but if faith is based on emotion, our hearts are shaken to the core and end up bowing down before these problems.

Because of this, the Spirit tells us to pay no attention to the things we see, but rather to those things we cannot see. “For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” ( 2 Corinthians 4:18)

When you live by rational, intelligent faith, you don’t accept seeds of doubt and you don’t give in to “light affliction that lasts but for a moment”, even when it’s difficult.
Instead, your personal convictions trigger an immediate resistance, which gives birth to revolt, and that revolt demands that the promises of our Eternal God come true.

This means that you see the invisible, believe in the impossible, and that you live from faith to faith, and by faith.

But only those who are born of God can understand these things.
