In this world, no one will be free of sorrow. Fair or unfair, everyone is subject to the setbacks of life.

After all, we live in a clay pot and a planet that has been taken over by evil.

Those who have embraced the Christian faith and follow in His footsteps must understand that just like the children of Israel lived under the yoke of the Egyptian bondage while waiting for the Promised Land, the same happens in the lives of today’s Christians.

We can’t expect any help from those who have an opposing faith. Much on the contrary, they will do everything in their power to try to rob us of the dream of taking possession of the New Jerusalem, our Promised Land.

That’s precisely why we come across all sorts of afflictions.

However, it has written, promised, determined and prophesied that “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all.” Psalm 34:19

Meaning that God not only knows all of our afflictions, but promises to deliver us from them all!

Dear reader, if you feel discouraged because of your many afflictions and perhaps have even been feeling lukewarm in the faith, it’s time to get up and take action.

It’s time for your deliverance! Cheer up!

The Lord has sent me to you.
