The cry of faith
Supernatural faith cries out for sacrifice.
Sacrifice is obeying the Word of God;
Sacrifice is saying no to the flesh and yes to the Holy Spirit;
Sacrifice is saying no to the voice of the heart and yes to the voice of reason;
Sacrifice is praying for those who persecute you;
Sacrifice is loving those who hate you;
Sacrifice is living a righteous life in an unrighteous world;
Sacrifice is paying high taxes and being unable to enjoy their benefits;
Sacrifice is suffering injustice and trusting in the justice of God;
Sacrifice is watching the unjust rule over the just;
Sacrifice is having a good attitude towards the bad;
Sacrifice is forgiving in order to be forgiven;
Sacrifice is dying to the world and living for Jesus Christ;
Sacrifice is turning the other cheek when you really want to…
Sacrifice is being forced to walk one mile and walking an extra mile;
Sacrifice is serving all in order to be the first;
Sacrifice is losing your life for faith in Jesus and the Gospel and saving it;
Sacrifice is obeying like Abraham and leaving your life on the altar.
Finally, the cry of faith demands that anyone who wants to follow Jesus has to sacrifice his own life, take up his cross and follow Him. Luke 9.23
