The anger cycle
1 – The director of a company in a bad mood screamed at his manager.
2 – When the manager went home later that day, he yelled at his wife for having spent too much of his hard-earned money.
3 – His wife nervously yelled at the maid, who ended up letting a glass fall on the floor.
4 – Her maid kicked the dog for having been in her way leading her to stumble among the broken glass.
5 – The dog ran from the house and bit a lady who walked by their house.
6 – This lady went to the doctor to get a shot because of the dog’s bite and got angry at the male nurse for hurting her while at it.
7 – The male nurse got home and yelled at his wife because the dinner wasn’t what he expected.
8 – His wife stroked his hair and kissed him saying, “Honey, I promise that tomorrow I will make your favorite dish. You worked hard today and you’re probably tired, let’s go have a good night’s sleep. In fact, let me put on some fresh bedsheets before we lie down so the bed feels better for a nice peaceful rest. Tomorrow you’ll feel better.”
And with that, a woman broke the cycle of anger… If you’re in this cycle, remember that it too can be broken, and YOU have the power to do so.
Some people pursue happiness, others create it. Be more concerned with your conscience than with your reputation. Your conscience is what you are and your reputation is what others think of you. And what others think of you is definitely their problem.
