Take off your sandals
“And the Angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush… So when the LORD saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses!… Do not draw near this place. Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground.” Exodus 3:2-5
If the sandals didn’t have a negative influence, God wouldn’t have told him to take them off. Why take off the sandals?
The truth is that God’s presence filled the Mountain with energy. The Mountain was filled with power because of God’s glorious presence.
The sandals acted as insulators (doubt). Before God promised something impossible to Moses, which was the people’s deliverance from Egyptian slavery, He said, “Take your sandals off your feet“. It wouldn’t have been possible for Moses to hear what God was promising him, if the sandals remained on his feet.
Without sandals, he became a recipient of God’s Power; he was at the top of Mount Sinai, standing before God, with all of his strength.
In fact, those who believe will climb Mount Sinai without sandals on their feet; that is, without doubts, participating in the Campaign of Israel with all of their strength.
I believe that those who haven’t achieved what they set out for, with faith in God, surely haven’t removed the sandals from their feet (doubt) and that’s why they haven’t been able to apply all of their strength.
First, He said: “Do not draw near this place”, but after Moses removed the sandals from his feet, He says to Moses: “Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.” (Exodus 3:10).
Moses climbed up the mountain without energy, without light, dull; but because he believed, he descended full of light, energy and power to confront the devil, who was represented by Pharaoh.
God saw, heard and came down.
Do you believe? Remove the sandals from your feet and go with all your strength.
