God is Spirit.

If He was a physical being, He would communicate with us in a physical way, like Jesus did when He was on earth. If He was a soul, He would communicate with us on a soul-to-soul level.

But, because He is Spirit, he communicates with us in a strictly spiritual way. In other words, His Spirit communicates with our spirit and, by faith, our spirit communicates with the Spirit of God.

This kind of communication forces us to use our intellect in order to communicate with God, thus leaving aside our feelings. Faith has nothing to do with feelings; it’s an assurance that God will do what He promised He would.

The majority of “believers” are possessed by deceiving spirits because they have used their faith in an emotional way. It happens because they have never been born of the Spirit. They “feel” the presence of God in the church but, when they return home, they go back to manifesting the same weak faith, discouragement, and desire to give up.

To be born again is not to receive a miracle, to accept Jesus or to gather biblical knowledge. Supernatural faith is related to reason, and not to emotions or feelings!

The flesh wrestles against the Spirit, and vice versa.

In the Bible, the flesh symbolises a corrupted heart.

Do you remember what the Lord said about the heart?
