Son of Abraham, nephew or son of a concubine?

“And Abraham gave all that he had to Isaac. But Abraham gave gifts to the sons of the concubines which Abraham had; and while he was still living he sent them eastward away from Isaac his son, to the country of the east,” Genesis 25.5,6.

A son of Abraham always says “yes” to a mountain, while a nephew always says “no”.

A son of Abraham follows the guidance that comes from on high and is ready to obey, while a nephew follows the guidance of his heart.

A son of Abraham lives by faith, while a nephew makes decisions based on circumstances.

A son of Abraham conquers and is established, while a nephew may even achieve success, but eventually loses all he has, including his family.

A son of Abraham dwells in the shadow of the Almighty, while a nephew dwells in the shadow of others.

A son of Abraham overcomes, even in the desert, while a nephew fails, even in the best of circumstances.

A son of Abraham sacrifices his dreams for God’s dreams, while a nephew never loosens his grip on his dreams, which eventually turn into nightmares.

“No one is so fierce that he would dare stir him up. Who then is able to stand against Me? Who has preceded Me, that I should pay him? Everything under heaven is Mine,” Job 41.10,11.

Abraham aroused God, and was given everything under heaven, and in the end, heaven itself, while Lot lost what he had conquered and even his family.

The nation of the children of Abraham are as countless as the stars in the sky, while the descendants of his nephew Lot are only two people, the Ammonites and Moabites, born out of an incestuous relationship with his daughters.

The children of concubines may even receive gifts (achieve some blessings) that bring momentary joy, however, they are cut off from what God promised to the children of Abraham: TO BE A BLESSING!

This occurs because the sons of concubines do not have a sacrificial attitude and cannot take possession of the inheritance.

But the children of Abraham do not question sacrifice, because it is natural for them.

“Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham,” Galatians 3.7.

In summary:

Sons of Abraham say YES.

Nephews say NO.

Children of concubines are not even called because they are satisfied with the crumbs of this world.

Who are you?
