Something To Think About …

Around mid August 2009, at the height of Rede Globo’s persecutions against the Universal Church …



Two very elegant, well-dressed women commented about the Rede Globo reports as they walked down the street. They said:



”… That church is a den of thieves, crooks and Bishop Macedo is the worst person on earth; that manipulator, thief. He only likes to steal from the poor.”



As a young man walked by both women, he couldn’t help but hear their conversation. He excused himself and said to them:



”Ladies, please excuse me. I would like to say something: you should thank the Universal Church and Bishop Macedo; both of whom you two speak so badly of.”



The women angrily replied, “Thank the Universal Church and Bishop Macedo? That’s nonsense! Why should we do that?”



The young man replied, “Five years ago, I would stand in this very spot waiting and watching as people walked by. My favorite victims were elegant and distracted women, much like you two ladies. If I happened to meet you here 5 years ago, in this very spot and time; surely, you wouldn’t have your purses, watches, bracelets, earrings, cell phones, wallets, credit cards and money anymore because I would have stolen them from you. But, because today I’m a Man of God, I won’t do that. I became a man of God at the Universal Church. A church founded by Jesus Christ through Bishop Macedo. That’s why I’m telling you that if you’re going home today with all your belongings, it’s thanks to the Universal Church and Bishop Macedo. “



Both women walked away bewildered with what the young man had said.



That’s right; many of those who bad-mouth the bishop and the Church have no idea of the good that they’ve done in their lives.



Many of those who criticize have benefited one way or another from the work of the Church and the bishop.
