Just like in the days of Gideon – when the people were frightened and isolated in a cave for seven years because of their infidelity to God – today we are living in global social isolation and panic, which is being spread by sensationalist media.

However, through Gideon, God was able to separate those who were faithful and had a supernatural faith from those who were unfaithful and had an emotional faith.

“…Whoever is fearful and afraid, let him turn and depart at once…” (Judges 7:3)

God does not manifest Himself to the fearful and shy, because their shyness and fear are signs that they do not really believe, and those who do not believe are not approved by Him.

“The people are still too many; bring them down to the water, and I will test them…” (Judges 7:4)

Those who are faithful have a bold faith. They have a fearless attitude and don’t run away from tests, as they know their faithfulness to God is the guarantee that they will be approved.

“Everyone who laps from the water with his tongue, as a dog laps, you shall set apart by himself…” (Judges 7:5)

The tongues of those who are faithful are always close to the Word of Truth, just as the tongues ​​ of Gideon’s 300 were close to the spring.

“…By the three hundred men who lapped I will save you, and deliver the Midianites into your hand. Let all the other people go…” (Judges 7:7)

God does not deliver anything into the hands of those who are unfaithful – those who are not people of their word. This separation still exists today, just as it did in Gideon’s time.
