The devil is master to those who subject themselves to the kingdom of this world. The only way out is also the only way into the kingdom of God, by switching masters. This depends on whether you’re willing to give your life to the Son of God. Refusal to such request would result in your life remaining in the kingdom of darkness.

However, many who chose to follow and serve the Lord Jesus, in time, try to reconcile two masters: the Lord and themselves. They think that their faith can be divided between both.

Because of this, they end up brewing a self-righteous spirit. They become hypocrites and turn into old prophets.

For these people, the Lord Jesus addressed the following:

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 7:21
