No longer feeling the same emotionyou felt during your first encounter does not necessarily mean you’ve abandoned your first love.

The joy of salvation, deliverance from the past and a bad conscience, a great desire to save others, to do the will of God and to obey His Voice, are some characteristics of an active faith. They provide the unforgettable experience of the first encounter with God. However, first love stands out through the desire to win souls.

Those who are born of the Spirit want the same for others. When this focus changes, it means the person has abandoned the first love.

As the years pass, many have lost track of their initial goal. The spiritual vision of those lost and blinded has given way to their own personal vision.

And this is when the prophecy is fulfilled:

He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it. Matthew 10.39
