Saint George or David, which will you watch?
“King David”, a Brazilian TV series, will re-air on October 22nd at 9pm, on Record TV. During the same time, another TV station will premiere a new series based on the cult of “Saint George”. They are so boldfaced that its title contains a salute to the entity.
“You shall not make for yourself a carved image – any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them,” Exodus 20.4-5
How can I allow something that is completely against one of God’s direct commandments into my home? How can I accept something that goes completely against my faith, even if it comes disguised as colorful entertainment, with a humorous plot and silly love stories?
“You shall burn the carved images of their gods with fire; you shall not covet the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it for yourselves, lest you be snared by it; for it is an abomination to the Lord your God. Nor shall you bring an abomination into your house, lest you be doomed to destruction like it. You shall utterly detest it and utterly abhor it, for it is an accursed thing,” Deuteronomy 7.25-26
I think that it’s pretty clear what we should do in this situation. You shouldn’t think it’s not a big deal just because it is a TV series! We have our Father’s DNA, and what He abhors, we should also abhor.
George never existed. He was based on a Babylonian legend, where Marduk, a god, kills Tiamat, who is represented by a dragon. I know that a lot of people consider him a war hero, but the true war hero was David! A boy who denied the king’s armor and faced an adult, well-armed soldier, who was almost ten feet tall, with his faith, a sling and an accurate shot. Now, that’s a hero, a true warrior!
When you turn on the TV, you absorb the spirit of what you are watching. Unknowingly, many people will allow a Babylonian entity into their homes. With “King David”, we see the story of a true hero, a man of faith, which causes our faith to be awakened in God, and not in another man.
He wrote: “Though an army may encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war may rise against me, in this I will be confident,” Psalms 27.3
Do you know what this means? Read it again. He is saying that even if an entire army is camped against him, he would not be afraid, because he knows that God is with him! And if things got worse and a war broke out, he would still trust in God! Now, imagine having this kind of faith! This is what makes a difference! Not some religious mumbo-jumbo that is full of emotions.
Who is more important? David, a king who was after God’s own heart, or George, a pagan god disguised as a saint? Who deserves your attention? Who is the true example?
To watch “King David”, which will air during the same time as the soap opera that welcomes an abomination, is a wonderful opportunity that we have to throw a rock straight into the forehead of Marduk and his disguise.
As for Babylon, God warns:
“Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues,” Revelation 18.4
