Prosthetic faith

prosthetic-faith

In almost every meeting I hold with bishops, pastors, assistants and members in general, I seek to make people aware of the new life promised by God Most High.

The majority of people receive the benefits of faith, but only a minority receive the greatest benefit of all: a transformed life.

Scientists and doctors have worked hard in order to create organs that can replace the ones that have been damaged by diseases. Meanwhile, in most of the cases, people use prostheses (or implants).

However, a prosthesis can never compare to a brand new organ!

The same happens in relation to faith in the Living God! He does not offer us a prosthetic life, but a brand new one! The price is our total surrender.

For obvious reasons, it’s impossible to keep two lives; therefore, if we do not surrender the life we have now, it’s impossible to receive a new one. It’s either one or the other!

The problem is that the majority of people want a new life but they don’t want to surrender the old one. That’s why many “believers” are weak in their faith.
