Among the many Egyptian gods, there was one that had the head was of a sheep/lamb. For this reason, sheepherders were not welcome among them. Sheep shearing and, especially their sacrifice, affronted the Egyptian faith.

It must not have been an easy task for the Israelites when God asked them to sacrifice a lamb and put some of its blood on the doorposts. This would require courage. This would certainly insult the Egyptians and make them more aggressive to the Jews.

The children of Israel had to choose between sacrificing to God and risk dying or excluding themselves to “save” their own skin.

During every moment in life, those who are converted experience the same dilemma before the world. Here lies the proof of your faith.

I have learned that the exercise of faith is more about having the courage to obey the voice of God rather than feeling Him.

For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. Matthew 16.25

No one is saved by feelings. Salvation requires attitude, action, or the materialization of faith. This is, courage!
