Peter and the lame man
The Creator transmits His power the same way the sun does. However, that energy needs a receiver, which is called belief.
The sun transmits heat. If there is no physical body present to receive that heat, its energy becomes useless.
The same is true in regards to the power or energy that flows from God’s mouth (His Promise).
When there is a receiver (belief), the Promise is fulfilled. If there is no receiver, the Promise is not fulfilled.
The Creator is the transmitter, mankind is the receiver.
The Holy Spirit is Divine Energy. Those who are born and baptized in the Holy Spirit have this energy permanently within them.
Example:
“And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple;
Who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms. And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, “Look at us.” So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them.
Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”
And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God.” Acts 3:2-8
What did he expect to receive? Alms.
Did he have faith to be healed? No.
Why? If he had faith, he would have been inside the temple, not outside.
How come he was healed, if he didn’t have faith? Was it because of Peter’s faith?
Yes and no.
Yes, because Peter got his attention long enough to send God’s Divine Energy into him: “…what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”
Peter used the authority of the Lord Jesus to transmit His Energy.
No, because the lame man needed to be receptive in order for the miracle to happen.
We could break this down by saying that it was 50% possible because of Peter’s energy and 50% because of the lame man’s receptiveness.
Peter had to take him by the right hand.
Why?
That was how he transferred his virtue, energy, power and faith.
Instantly, he was overcome by Peter’s energy and as it raced through his body, he was healed.
In conclusion:
Through His servant, the positive energy of God’s Spirit was passed onto the lame man and he was healed of an incurable disease.
